Engineered Plastics Company Expresses the Lean Journey

2014 turned out to be a great year at Engineered Plastics Company, Whitewater, Wisconsin.  Whitewater’s first Lean Basic class was held in July supporting three projects focused in a new assembly cell and the shipping department. Numerous Kaizen events were held, sustaining significant improvements to a product line, plant visual standards, material handling, and overall plant aesthetics.

Setting the stage for 2015 and four Lean Basic classes, the entryway to a plant floor was renovated to display critical aspects of the MFCS House of Excellence and promote the Lean mindset in Whitewater.  Employees designed and produced signs to help everyone maintain Lean standards.  Another talented employee finished the display with beautifully hand-crafted black walnut frames.
