Frank Curtis founded Curtis Screw in 1905 based on a patent he had received in 1891 for the design of a 5-spindle screw machine. In 1978, John Hoskins became president and sole owner of Curtis continuing the family legacy. As Curtis anticipated the future, they looked for the best option for their family business and how to position the company for future growth. The Hoskins Family was looking for the right family that could continue their long successful family legacy. MFCS was a logical cultural fit. MFCS was excited to finalize a deal that worked for everyone. The Hoskins Family was a terrific steward of the business and built a great company, which is now part of MFCS.
