Metform employees celebrated their recognition by IndustryWeek magazine as a 2016 Best Plant Winner for Excellence in Manufacturing.
May 23rd was festive. Tents, balloons, laughter, food, gifts and speeches were the order for the day. Current employees and retirees gathered at the Hot Form plant to be honored and to celebrate their exceptional performance, which resulted in this achievement. Being selected as a winner of the IndustryWeek award shows what can be accomplished when we’re focused on a mutual goal and work together to make it happen.
Raising the trophy in the air, Dan Cavanagh, President of Metform, congratulated everyone. He recognized Metform retirees who were in attendance and thanked them for setting the foundation for the business and its growth. He stressed that what we are learning through Lean and the Kata process sets us apart from other applicants.
Duncan MacLean, President of MacLean-Fogg, stated, “Employee engagement was an important aspect of the interview for the award,” and asked, “What’s next? How far can we go? Every employee is an important contributor to our collective success. With each new day, we can only get better. As we learn to work smarter together, the potential to grow and progress is endless.
