MFCS Engineered Plastics Division Recognized Third Straight Year at Plastics Innovation Gala

MFCS Engineered Plastics Division was recognized once again for the third consecutive year for the most Innovative Use of Plastics at the 2017 Plastics Innovation Gala in Detroit on November 8th, 2017. Over 1,000 automotive executives and colleagues were at the event to acknowledge industry innovators.

This year, submissions were highly scrutinized as presentations for each application candidate were presented to a 30-member committee of plastics industry experts. These highly respected industry contributors collectively determined the final two best applications in each of ten categories.

The MacLean-Fogg Pedestrian Protection Energy Management Hood Leveler was voted one of the two finalists in the Safety category. A second presentation was introduced to an additional Blue Ribbon Committee of 28 automotive experts who then voted for the category winners. The new all-plastic PedPro Hood Leveler was designated as the runner-up finalist in the Safety category for the innovative use of plastics in a safety-related component.

This is an excellent example of how our EPC Team works collaboratively with key customers to develop value-added solutions that help establish long-lasting mutual benefits.
