Highline Products — New 2013 Member of the MacLean Family

In June, MacLean Power Systems ("MPS") announced that it had completed the acquisition of Highline Products ("Highline"), a leading designer, producer, and marketer of enclosures such as pedestals, underground vaults, boxes, box pads, flat pads, ground sleeves, and cabinets used for protecting and supporting equipment and connection points.  Highline fills an important gap in the existing portfolio of MPS products for electric utility and communications customers.

Founded in 1967, Highline earned a strong reputation for serving electric utilities in the Northeast and Midwest with fiberglass enclosures.  A recent ownership group moved headquarters to Lexington, Massachusetts, and substantially expanded Highline's products, markets, and customers over the next 20 years.

Today, Highline carries SKUs using different types of materials — fiberglass, polymer concrete, and high-density polyethylene — and has sales representative networks in the electric utility, communications, commercial and industrial (municipal/department of transportation), and water (utility and turf/irrigation) markets.  Highline also produces and markets fiberglass pole top extensions for the electric utility industry.

The MPS Highline enclosures division remains under the direction of Paul Tannenbaum, who led the Highline's expansion over the past 20 years.  All of Highline's employees — primarily located at corporate headquarters, and Highline's manufacturing facility in Sweetwater, Tennessee — joined MacLean following the acquisition.
